Angel Reese is back playing basketball before the WNBA season starts. She played in a special 3-on-3 game called Unrivaled, even though she usually plays for the Chicago Sky. Last year, Reese had to stop playing because she hurt her wrist, but now she’s back and playing well, even though her team didn’t win.
Angel Reese played for the Rose Basketball Club in this off-season league and did great. She scored 10 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and helped with four assists. She even played as a point guard, which is different from her usual position because there are only three players on each team in this league.
Despite her team losing 73-79 to Vinyl Basketball Club, Reese showed she’s still a fantastic player. People are excited about her return and think playing in Unrivaled will help her get even better for the WNBA season.
Unrivaled is a new league that helps women basketball players play more and earn more money. It has some famous people investing in it, like basketball player Carmelo Anthony and actors Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Tennis player Coco Gauff has also invested.
Just like Reese’s own debut back to the game, Unrivaled just began its inaugural season to provide game time and more pay for women basketball players. The innovative league has secured celebrity investors from Carmelo Anthony to Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Furthermore, tennis champion Coco Gauff also recently invested in the opportunity.
“Angel Reese is gonna be a menace next W season. This Unrivaled is gonna be so good for her game, you can already see it,” wrote one supporter on X.
Angel Reese and other new players like Flau’jae Johnson are making the league popular. Even though Reese’s team didn’t win, she’s happy to be playing again and showing everyone she’s still great at basketball.
