Diddy Combs Arrested in Federal Sex Trafficking Investigation

Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested in New York City on unspecified federal charges, according to federal authorities. The arrest follows raids on his properties in Los Angeles and Miami in March, part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.
Combs’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment, asserting his client’s innocence. Combs has faced numerous allegations, including sexual assault and abuse, which he has consistently denied.
The arrest is linked to an investigation by US homeland security officials, as confirmed by multiple law enforcement sources. US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, announced the arrest, stating that a sealed indictment had been filed and would be unsealed on Tuesday.
Combs is also facing several civil lawsuits, including accusations of raping an underage girl and attempting to groom a producer. His attorney reiterated Combs’s intention to clear his name in court, describing him as a music icon, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
Legal troubles for Combs began in November 2023 when his ex-partner, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, filed a lawsuit. Additional lawsuits followed, alleging abuse and assault. Combs has denied all allegations, labeling the lawsuits as a “money grab.”
In December, another lawsuit accused Combs of sex trafficking a 17-year-old girl. Further accusations emerged in February from his former producer, Rodney Jones Jr., who claimed Combs made unwanted advances. Following these allegations, Combs’s properties were raided, and he was stopped at a Miami airport, surrendering electronics to authorities.
Many lawsuits were filed before the expiration of the New York Adult Survivors Act, which allowed claims of sexual abuse beyond the statute of limitations. In May, CCTV footage appeared to show Combs attacking Ventura, an incident included in her lawsuit.
Combs, also known by various names such as Puffy, Puff Daddy, and P Diddy, remains one of rap’s most successful figures.
