Diddy Faces $100 Million Judgment in Sexual Assault Case

Over 100 People to Sue Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs for Sexual Assault

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing major legal trouble as a Michigan inmate, Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, has won a $100 million default judgment against him. Cardello-Smith, who is currently in prison, claims that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted him at a party in Detroit back in 1997.

The ruling was made on September 9 by Lenawee County Circuit Court Judge Anna Marie Anzalone after Diddy failed to show up for a virtual court hearing. Because of this, the court automatically ruled in favor of Cardello-Smith.

Cardello-Smith, now 51 and serving time at Earnest C. Brooks Correctional Facility, alleged that Diddy offered him $2.3 million to drop the lawsuit, but he refused. He also claims Combs visited him in prison, producing documents that listed Diddy’s name in the prison system.

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, strongly denied the claims, calling Cardello-Smith a “convicted felon and sexual predator” with 14 convictions for sexual assault and kidnapping. Agnifilo also said that Diddy had never heard of Cardello-Smith and had not been served any lawsuit. “We look forward to getting this judgment thrown out,” the lawyer added.

Earlier, on August 7, Judge Anzalone had issued a temporary restraining order to stop Diddy from selling any assets in case Cardello-Smith won the lawsuit and needed to be paid damages.

With these new allegations and legal issues, Diddy’s year continues to get worse.
