Donald Trump Names Key Cabinet Members Quickly, Picks Loyal Supporters and Unusual Choices

According to The Washington Post, Donald Trump has been moving quickly to select members for his Cabinet and key administration roles, even faster than during his first term or compared to other recent presidents.

One of Trump’s main criteria for these choices is loyalty, with many of his picks being strong supporters or close allies. While some positions are going to experienced Republican politicians, other roles are being given to people with little or no background in government, raising concerns about their ability to handle big responsibilities.

One of the most surprising choices is Fox News host and Army veteran Pete Hegseth, who Trump wants as Secretary of Defense.

Hegseth is supportive of Trump’s vision for the military and has criticized military leaders for focusing too much on diversity and not enough on global threats. However, his nomination is expected to face tough questions in the Senate.

In another controversial pick, Trump has appointed Stephen Miller, a long-time advisor, as a deputy chief of policy. Miller is known for creating many of Trump’s tough immigration policies during his first term, including the family separation policy, and is a strong influence on Trump’s more extreme positions.

At a recent rally in Madison Square Garden, Miller hinted at his priorities, telling the crowd, “Your salvation is at hand” after “decades of abuse,” showing his continued hardline stance.

“The lesson is to have people who are personally loyal and will do anything he wants,” Pfiffner told the Post. “I expect these are going to be people who are really loyal to President Trump rather than taking an oath of office to the Constitution.

They are not going to be hesitant about anything he decides to do.”

These choices suggest that Trump’s new administration will reflect his loyal supporters and may take an aggressive approach on key issues.
