10 Big Reasons Trump or Harris Could Win the Election

Early voting has officially begun across the U.S., with voters in various states casting their ballots either in person or by mail ahead of the 2024 general election. Many states are sharing details about these early votes, including the breakdown by party affiliation, voter age, and the voting method used.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has been urging Democratic voters to take advantage of early voting as a way to secure votes before Election Day.

On the other hand, while former President Donald Trump has criticized it in the past, his campaign and the Republican Party have also been encouraging their supporters to vote early this time around.

As of the latest data, over 21.5 million votes have been cast either by mail or in person, with 45% of these ballots coming from registered Democrats, 38% from registered Republicans, and 17% from other or unaffiliated voters. Additionally, more than 55 million mail-in and early in-person voting requests have been submitted nationwide.

This early voting trend is being closely monitored, especially in key battleground states where the partisan divide in it may offer insights into the upcoming election. The information is collected through state data and models by TargetSmart, providing daily updates as the election progresses.

Both parties are looking to capitalize on early voting as a strategy to secure their base and sway undecided voters ahead of Election Day.
