Former President Bill Clinton Hospitalized with Fever in Washington, D.C.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has been hospitalized due to a fever, his spokesman Angel Ureña announced. Clinton, who is currently receiving medical attention at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., remains optimistic about his recovery.

According to Ureña, the former president was admitted on Monday evening for tests and observation following the onset of the fever. While detailed updates on his condition were not provided, U.S. media outlets have reported that Clinton is expected to make a full recovery.

NBC News sources close to Bill Clinton reassured that the situation is not considered urgent and that the former president is “fine,” noting that he was awake and alert.

This incident marks another health scare for the 42nd president, who has faced several medical challenges in the past. Clinton, now 78, was last hospitalized in 2021 for an infection in his blood.

His medical history includes significant heart issues; in 2004, he underwent quadruple bypass surgery, and in 2010, he had a procedure to open a clogged artery after experiencing chest pains.

Following his health issues, Bill Clinton, once known for his indulgence in fatty foods, adopted a vegan diet. In a 2016 interview with Politico, he attributed his improved health and longevity to his dietary changes, stating, “I might not be around if I hadn’t become a vegan. It’s great.”

Apart from his recent health concerns, Clinton has been active in politics, supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign this year. He also continues his literary pursuits, with the release of his latest book, “Citizen: My Life After the White House,” last month.
