Jamie Foxx Injured in Glass-Throwing Incident at Beverly Hills Restaurant

Actor Jamie Foxx is recuperating after being struck by a glass during his birthday celebration at a Beverly Hills dining venue, a spokesperson reported.

The incident, which took place on December 13 at Mr. Chow restaurant, involved another diner hurling a glass that impacted Foxx’s mouth, necessitating stitches for the resulting injury.

Jamie Foxx, who turned 57 that day, was amidst his birthday dinner when the confrontation unfolded.

“Jamie was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass at him, striking him in the mouth,” the spokesperson detailed. “He required stitches and is currently recovering. The police were summoned, and the issue is now being handled by law enforcement.”

The Beverly Hills Police Department initially responded to the scene around 10 p.m., treating the situation as a potential assault with a deadly weapon. However, their investigations later revealed the altercation to be a less severe physical dispute.

“The reported assault with a deadly weapon was unfounded. Instead, the incident involved a physical altercation between parties,” the police report clarified. Despite the documentation of battery, no arrests were made, though the investigation continues.

This incident occurred shortly after Foxx’s latest Netflix special was released, where the Oscar-winning actor shared insights into a serious medical scare he endured last year.

Foxx described suffering a severe headache and subsequently experiencing a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke. This medical emergency severely impacted his mobility, leading to an extensive rehabilitation period.

Throughout his recovery, Jamie Foxx has been supported by his family, including his daughters Corinne and Anelise, and his sister, Deidra Dixon.

Reflecting on his ordeal in the Netflix special, Foxx expressed ongoing uncertainty about the cause of his health crisis, acknowledging, “It is a mystery. We still don’t know exactly what happened to me.”
