Janice Combs Defends Son Diddy Against Numerous Allegations

Janice Combs, the mother of music star Sean “Diddy” Combs, has spoken out to defend her son as he faces a growing number of lawsuits and accusations. In her first public statement since the accusations surfaced, she strongly denied the claims, calling them “lies.”
In a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter through her lawyer Natlie G. Figgers, Janice expressed her pain over the situation, saying it feels like her son is being “publicly lynched” without a chance to defend himself.
“Watching what seems like a public attack on my son before he can prove his innocence is unbearable,” she said. “Like anyone, he deserves his day in court to share his side and clear his name.”
Although more than 120 new accusers have recently come forward with claims against Diddy, Janice believes many of these are false. However, she did admit that her son hadn’t been fully honest about certain incidents, particularly with his ex-girlfriend Cassie.
“He may not have been completely truthful about some things, like denying getting violent with an ex when hotel footage showed otherwise,” she admitted.
Still, she argued that the truth is sometimes complicated. “Sometimes, truth and lies get so mixed up that it becomes hard to admit certain parts of the story, especially when it’s not easy for people to believe,” she explained.
Despite Diddy’s past mistakes, Janice stands by her son, insisting he’s not guilty of the serious charges against him. She compared his situation to cases where people were wrongfully convicted because of their image or past actions.
“Many people who were later found innocent lost their freedom not because they were guilty, but because they didn’t fit society’s idea of a ‘good person,'” she said.
Janice also suggested that the people accusing Diddy are only after money, pointing to the quick settlement of Cassie’s lawsuit. “These false claims are driven by financial gain, not justice,” she said. “People saw how quickly my son’s team settled with his ex, so they believe they can get money by accusing him.”
This is Janice’s first public defense of Diddy since she was hospitalized in July. It comes at a difficult time for her son, who was arrested in September on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. Federal investigators revealed troubling evidence, including large amounts of baby oil, lubricant, and rifles with scratched-off serial numbers.
On top of this, attorney Tony Buzbee is representing over 120 new accusers, many of whom say they were drugged and sexually assaulted, with claims going back as far as 1991.
As these accusations continue to build, Janice Combs’ statement shows her strong support for her son, even as his public image faces serious damage.
