Jeezy Warned by Judge as Divorce Battle with Jeannie Mai Heats Up

The divorce saga between rapper Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins and television host Jeannie Mai is getting messier — and now, it’s reaching a point where Jeezy could be facing jail time if he doesn’t follow court orders.
According to InTouch, a judge recently found that Jeezy had “willfully failed” to turn over a 2021 Range Rover to Mai, despite it being part of their divorce settlement. The luxury SUV, along with its title, was supposed to have been handed over as part of the property division agreed upon by the former couple.
At a court hearing, it was revealed that Jeezy eventually complied with the order and turned over the vehicle. Mai’s legal team, however, pushed for Jeezy to cover her court fees, though the judge ultimately denied that request.
The judge also denied Jeezy’s request that Mai pay his attorney fees but issued a stern warning: if Jeezy fails to comply with any future court orders, he could end up behind bars.
Jeezy and Mai married in 2021, but just two years later, the Atlanta rapper filed for divorce, citing that the marriage was “irretrievably broken” with no hope of reconciliation. Their divorce was finalized in June 2024.
However, by September, after settling child support, custody, and property matters, Mai returned to court accusing Jeezy of breaching their agreement.
Mai claimed that Jeezy failed to cover costs related to daycare and school fees and also had not reimbursed her for four months’ rent totalling $92,000. She further alleged he had yet to transfer the titles of two vehicles, the 2021 Range Rover and a 2022 Ford Bronco, despite the settlement terms.
In response, he accused Mai of leaking sensitive court documents to the press in an attempt to “embarrass, humiliate, and disparage” him. His attorney argued that the rapper has had to defend himself against “frivolous claims” while facing intentional efforts to damage his reputation and brand.
“On one hand, [Jeannie] wants as much money as possible from [Jeezy],” the attorney said, “but on the other hand, she seeks to destroy [his] ability to earn income by dismantling the public goodwill [he] built for decades before even meeting [Jeannie].”
The ex-couple shares a daughter, Monaco, who remains a central part of their ongoing legal battles.
