Kanye West Clashes With Lawyer in Viral Deposition Video

Footage has emerged showing Kanye West in a confrontational exchange with an attorney during a deposition, which has quickly gone viral. The incident, captured in a clip from the upcoming A&E series “Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Under Oath,” shows West reacting heatedly during a 2020 legal deposition related to his Sunday Service and Yeezy e-commerce initiatives.

In the video, attorney Michael Popok requests that West refrain from using his phone during the deposition. West responds dismissively, claiming the necessity of his phone to concentrate during the proceedings due to his “mental geniusness.”

“Due to my mental geniusness, in order to focus on this bullsh*t, I need to be on a phone,” West snaps back in the clip, although he later obliges Popok’s ask. However, he then proceeds to put on one of his now-signature masks, telling the lawyer that he doesn’t “have the right” to see his face.

Although he initially resists, West eventually complies, but not without donning one of his signature masks and asserting that Popok does not have the right to see his face.

“I’m not gonna tell you! You never gonna see me again!” Kanye West shouted back in response, clearly bemused and irritated. The 47-year-old would continue to berate Popok, speculating on the lawyer’s level of intellect while boasting of his vast amount of wealth.

The situation escalates when Popok asks Kanye West to identify the room they are in, prompting West to launch into a heated tirade, refusing to answer and expressing his frustration. West challenges Popok’s intelligence and flaunts his financial status, proclaiming himself as “the richest Black person in the history of America.”

The contentious encounter is part of the first episode of “Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Under Oath,” which is set to premiere on December 26 at 10:00 PM ET/PT on A&E. The series promises to deliver an unfiltered look into celebrity legal battles, kicking off with this high-tension moment from Kanye West’s deposition.
