Kanye West has chosen a significant date for the release of his upcoming studio album “Bully” — his daughter North West’s 12th birthday on June 15. The rapper made this announcement in a post-Grammy interview with Justin LaBoy, emphasizing the personal importance of the date and the album.
During the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, where Kanye West made a brief yet impactful appearance, he revealed that “Bully” is not only his eleventh studio album but also a favorite of his daughter North, who inspired the music.
Kanye West credits his daughter with reigniting his passion for music, describing her influence as a key factor in his creative process. He shared that it was North who encouraged him to return to producing music, leading to the beats that would eventually form part of “Bully.”

In his conversation with LaBoy, Kanye West, aged 47, also shared a preview of new tracks from the album and discussed his use of artificial intelligence in its creation. The album’s development was first hinted at during a September 2024 listening party for “Vultures 2,” a collaborative project with Ty Dolla $ign.
At this event, West previewed two tracks, “Beauty and the Beast” and “Preacher Man,” expected to be part of “Bully,” although they have not yet been released on streaming platforms.
North West, born in 2013, has already shown considerable musical talent, appearing on tracks like “TALKING” from “Vultures 1” and the single “BOMB,” which also features her younger sibling, Chicago West, and rapper Yuno Miles.
This family-centric album release underscores the personal and professional intersections in West’s life, highlighting how his family continues to inspire and shape his musical career.
