Kim Porter’s Posthumous Memoir Becomes Bestseller Amid Diddy’s Legal Troubles

Kim Porter’s posthumous memoir, Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side…, has quickly climbed the bestseller charts on Amazon following Sean “Diddy” Combs’ recent arrest on sex trafficking charges. The 60-page book, released on September 6, is now a #1 bestseller in the Western U.S. Biographies category.
The memoir allegedly contains sensitive information that Porter, who passed away unexpectedly from pneumonia in 2018, had stored on a flash drive and entrusted to friends before her death. Porter shared three children with Combs, the disgraced media mogul.
According to reports from The Daily Mail, the book was brought to life by Los Angeles producer Chris Todd, who used the pen name “Jamal T. Millwood.” Todd claims a close associate of Porter shared the flash drive with him, allowing him to tell her story posthumously. He described his efforts as giving Porter a voice “from the grave.”
“I was fortunate enough to meet someone who had Kim Porter’s flash drive,” Todd explained. “I know the source pretty well and how close they were to Kim and Diddy, and others in the hip-hop community. This was meant to be Kim Porter telling her story from beyond.”
The book’s popularity has been fueled by the recent developments in Diddy’s legal troubles. Just a week after its release, Combs was arrested on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Todd acknowledges the danger surrounding the situation but says he feels more comfortable coming forward now that Combs has been detained.
“This is a dangerous situation, and I didn’t want to claim ownership of Kim’s words,” Todd said. “But now, with Sean Combs’ arrest, I feel safer coming forward. The federal government has finally taken action, and that gives me some peace of mind.”
Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to all charges, is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, after being denied bail twice.
As legal proceedings continue, Porter’s memoir stands as a striking piece of the larger narrative, drawing both public curiosity and speculation.
