Mariah Carey Didn’t Reach Out to Dying Sister Alison Carey - Friend Claims

A close friend of Mariah Carey’s late sister, Alison Carey, has accused the singer of not contacting her sister during her final days, even though she knew Alison was seriously ill. David Baker, who says he was a longtime friend of Alison, told The U.S. Sun that Alison was hurt because her famous sister, Mariah, cut off contact with her.

Baker claims that despite being informed a month ago that Alison was dying, Mariah never tried to reach out. “Mariah has never tried to contact Alison, even after she was told a month ago that Alison was dying,” Baker said. He also mentioned that it’s unclear if Mariah will attend her sister’s funeral.

Baker added, “A phone call or, better still, a video call would have meant so much to Alison. But it never came,” saying that this lack of communication added to Alison’s pain.

As one of Alison’s few friends, Baker supported her through many tough times, including drug addiction, homelessness, and health issues. In her final weeks, Alison was under hospice care at home due to problems with her internal organs.

Alison had previously shared disturbing memories of being taken to “Satanic” ceremonies as a child and being sexually abused. In an interview, she recalled being woken up at night and taken to a hall that looked like a castle near a church in Huntington, New York.

Mariah and Alison were once close, but their relationship fell apart in 1994. The rift began when Alison asked Mariah for help after their mother, Patricia, allegedly kidnapped Alison’s son, Michael.

The sisters never repaired their relationship after Mariah reportedly refused to help. Alison reached out again for support during a legal issue involving prostitution charges, and Mariah’s representative confirmed that the singer spent “hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting Alison and her children.”

However, Alison said she wasn’t looking for money but for a chance to mend their relationship.

On August 26, Mariah announced that both Alison and their mother, Patricia, had passed away over the weekend. Mariah explained that she had kept her distance from her siblings, including her brother Morgan, because it was “emotionally and physically safer for me not to have any contact.”

In her 2020 memoir, “The Meaning of Mariah Carey,” the singer accused her siblings of selling false stories to the press and claimed that her older sister had once drugged her. These allegations led to lawsuits from both Alison and Morgan, with Morgan’s case still ongoing.

As more details come to light, the complicated relationship between Mariah and her siblings continues to attract attention.
