At her first campaign rally in Atlanta, Vice President Kamala Harris received high-profile support from rappers Megan Thee Stallion and Quavo as she gears up for the presidential election.
Opening the event, Megan Thee Stallion delivered a powerful medley of her biggest hits, including “Girls in the Hood,” “Mamushi,” “Body,” and “Savage.” She energized the crowd with a rallying cry for Harris’ candidacy, proclaiming, “Let’s make history, Atlanta.
We’re about to have our first female president, our first Black female president. Let’s make it happen, hotties. Hotties for Harris!”
Dressed with her backup dancers in coordinating blue outfits, Megan emphasized body positivity and empowerment, urging the audience to celebrate and protect their rights.
Quavo, too, voiced his endorsement for Harris, sharing his personal connection to one of her key policy areas—gun violence prevention. After the tragic shooting of his nephew and fellow Migos member Takeoff, Quavo founded the Rocket Foundation and has since worked closely with Harris. He recounted his visit to the White House to discuss gun safety, highlighting Harris’ commitment to addressing the issue.
“In the birthplace of the culture, it’s only right we change the culture again. So if you never voted before, make sure you get out and vote right now ’cause it’s the real one,” Quavo told the crowd, invoking the memory of Takeoff to inspire action.
Vice President Harris, introduced by Tyler Greene, then took the stage, challenging her potential opponent, Donald Trump, to face her in debate and outlining her vision to unify and mobilize the nation. “Georgia, are you ready to get to work?” she asked, emphasizing freedom, opportunity, and the American promise.
The event wrapped up on a hopeful note, with Harris rallying the crowd to believe in and fight for the values they cherish. As she declared, “And when we fight, we win.”
