NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin Joins ‘It Is What It Is’ Podcast as New Football Analyst

Former Dallas Cowboys star Michael Irvin has officially joined the popular sports podcast It Is What It Is, hosted by Cameron “Cam’ron” Giles and Mason “Ma$e” Betha. The new season began on September 2 and marks the start of Season 5 for the show, which is known for its fun mix of sports and culture.

Irvin, a three-time Super Bowl champion and NFL Hall of Famer, is the show’s newest football analyst. He replaces the late O.J. Simpson, who passed away in April. Irvin is no stranger to sports commentary, having spent 15 years as an analyst for the NFL Network and frequently appearing on ESPN shows like First Take and Sunday NFL Countdown.

Irvin had an outstanding football career with the Dallas Cowboys. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor in 2005. Over 11 seasons, he caught 750 passes for 11,904 yards and 65 touchdowns.

In the Season 5 premiere, Ma$e, former Bad Boy artist, surprised fans with an unexpected freestyle, showing he still has the talent that made him a hip-hop star in the 1990s.

Earlier this year, Cam’ron shared the story of how It Is What It Is came to be at the BLACK ENTERPRISE Disruptor Summit in Atlanta. The podcast started with his longtime Harlem friend Ma$e, and together with their moderator, Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson, they’ve created a unique show that blends sports analysis with entertaining conversations on music and culture.

With Michael Irvin now on board, Season 5 of It Is What It Is promises to bring even more exciting sports discussions and entertainment for fans.
