Over 100 People to Sue Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs for Sexual Assault

More than 100 people are planning to sue rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs for sexual assault, rape, and exploitation. Lawyer Tony Buzbee says some victims were as young as nine years old.

“This is a serious matter, and we will pursue it aggressively,” Buzbee said. He promised to investigate everyone involved in the alleged abuse.

Erica Wolff, Combs’ lawyer, denied the allegations, calling them “false and defamatory.” She said Combs looks forward to proving his innocence in court.

Diddy was recently arrested for racketeering and sex trafficking. He is in federal custody and is appealing his denied bail. He denies all criminal charges.

Buzbee, who practices law in Texas and New York, represents 120 alleged victims, half men and half women, from over 25 states. This is the first time Combs has been accused of abusing children.

The allegations span from 1991 to this year, with incidents in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami, mostly after 2015. Many victims say they were date raped at parties hosted by Combs.

Buzbee said young people were often promised stardom or a chance to have Diddy listen to their music in exchange for sexual acts. One man, who was nine at the time, says he was abused at a New York recording studio.

Another minor said Combs promised to make him a “star” but first asked for a private meeting, where he was asked to perform oral sex. A 15-year-old girl claims she was flown to New York for a party and then raped.

Buzbee said victims were often given “laced” drinks before being assaulted. “The biggest secret in the entertainment industry has finally been revealed,” he said. “The wall of silence has now been broken.”

This is not a class action lawsuit; each victim will file an individual case. Andrew Van Arsdale, another lawyer working with Buzbee, said they have received over 3,000 calls from people alleging abuse by Combs. They are also vetting another 100 cases.
