R. Kelly Survivor Claims Disgraced Singer and Diddy Share Similar Traits

The episode features Lizzette Martinez, a woman who previously appeared on Surviving R. Kelly, drawing parallels between the disgraced singer and Diddy.

Martinez, who claims to be one of R. Kelly’s victims, shared a personal story about meeting Diddy in the late 1990s. She recalled a moment when the mogul approached her, complimenting her eyes and inviting her to a party.

“I didn’t have a good feeling about it and I just declined,” she said, reflecting on the incident. “Thinking about it now, it’s like, ‘Wow, I really dodged a bullet.’”

She went on to express her belief that R. Kelly and Diddy are similar, referring to them both as “predators.” Martinez explained that they manipulate others by dangling career opportunities in front of them to gain control. “They use their power to get you to where they want you,” she added.

R. Kelly is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2021 on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. Diddy is now facing similar allegations, with the episode highlighting federal charges against him for racketeering and sex trafficking as well.

One of the most shocking elements of the episode is the mention of disturbing footage showing Diddy allegedly attacking singer Cassie in a hotel room. Martinez admitted that the video left a lasting impact on her.

“I can’t unsee that Cassie video,” she said. “You can tell me whatever you want about him, but I can’t unsee that video. She helped others feel like they can come forward, and that’s huge because you put yourself on the line.”
