Snoop Dogg Rumored to Perform at Trump's Inaugural Crypto Ball

Snoop Dogg is rumored to be performing at the upcoming Crypto Ball in Washington, D.C., set for January 17, in celebration of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.

According to The New York Post, the event is themed “In honor of the inauguration of Donald Trump, the first crypto president.” Trump’s official inauguration is scheduled for January 20.

While Snoop Dogg has not yet confirmed his appearance at the $2,500-a-ticket event, Daniel Lipman of Politico reported on X that the rapper is expected to perform.

Lipman tweeted, “SNOOP DOGG SCOOP: Snoop Dogg is expected to perform at the inaugural Crypto Ball on Friday night, three people familiar with the planning.”

Known for his advocacy of cryptocurrency since 2013, Snoop Dogg once humorously proposed accepting digital currency as payment for his albums and even delivering them by drone. His support for the Crypto Ball aligns with his long-standing promotion of the technology.

However, Snoop’s involvement may come as a surprise to some fans, given his previously critical views of Donald Trump. The “Murder Was The Case” rapper had expressed strong disapproval of Trump in the past, particularly concerning the impact on the Black community.

Over the years, Snoop’s stance appears to have mellowed. In a January 2024 interview with the Sunday Times, he expressed a positive shift in his views towards Trump, saying, “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me.”
