In a shocking claim, former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight has accused Snoop Dogg of attempting to bail out Duane “Keefe D” Davis, a key suspect in the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur.
Knight, currently serving a prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter, made the allegations during an interview with The Art of Dialogue, which aired on Monday (Feb. 24). His statements add new tension to the long-standing controversy surrounding Tupac’s death.
“Since I’ve been in here, Snoop and other people have been trying to bail out Keefe D because he’s talking too much,” Knight claimed.
He further stated that intermediaries approached him with offers to assist Davis, but he refused.
“They even had someone talk to me and say, ‘Hey! You can help him get free.’ I said, ‘I don’t have anything to do with that, and I’m not leaving prison to go to anyone’s county jail.’”
Knight Suggests Snoop and Others Fear Keefe D’s Revelations

Keefe D, a former Southside Compton Crips member, was arrested in September 2023 and has pleaded not guilty to murder charges in connection to Tupac’s killing. He has long claimed insider knowledge of the events that led to the fatal shooting on the Las Vegas Strip.
Knight suggested that Davis’s ongoing disclosures could implicate others.
“Apparently, Keefe D’s telling it all. And the more he talks, the more people will get hurt by the situation,” Knight stated.
Knight also took aim at Snoop Dogg, accusing him of being involved in behind-the-scenes efforts to distance himself from Tupac’s murder case.
Suge Knight’s Allegations Against Snoop Dogg
During the interview, Knight referenced a conversation with Ray J, in which he claims Snoop bragged about his alleged role in Tupac’s assassination.
“You brag about how Snoop told you he was part of the people who put bread up to kill ‘Pac,” Knight alleged. “That’s why I say don’t mention Tupac’s name in your interviews—because you fk with Snoop, the guy who said he had something to do with it.”**
Knight has repeatedly suggested that Snoop was envious of Tupac, believing that tensions within Death Row Records—along with the East Coast-West Coast rivalry—led to rifts between artists. He previously claimed that Snoop was uncomfortable with Tupac’s growing influence within the label.
These latest allegations are the most explosive claims yet in the decades-long debate surrounding Tupac’s murder. While Knight has frequently voiced suspicions about who may have played a role in the rapper’s death, his direct accusations against Snoop Dogg and his claim that efforts are being made to free Keefe D add another layer to the unresolved case.
Neither Snoop Dogg nor Keefe D’s legal team have publicly responded to Knight’s statements.
With Keefe D’s trial set to proceed, the case continues to unravel, raising more questions about one of hip-hop’s most infamous murders.
