Diddy’s recent arrest for alleged racketeering and sex trafficking has sparked a lot of rumors in the music industry. Celebrities and fans are now speaking up, wondering who else might have known about or been involved in these alleged crimes. Suge Knight, the former CEO of Death Row Records, recently claimed that big names like JAY-Z and Dr. Dre were aware of Diddy’s actions.
In an interview with Chris Cuomo on News Nation, Knight clarified that he doesn’t celebrate any Black man going to prison. He admitted that while some people deserve to go to jail for their crimes, it’s not always the best solution, especially for those with children and families.
However, Knight didn’t hold back in criticizing rappers who have stayed silent. He named T.I., Rick Ross, JAY-Z, Snoop Dogg, The Game, and Dr. Dre, saying none of them have stepped up to speak about what’s really going on.
Knight also accused other powerful figures in the music industry, like Russell Simmons, Clive Davis, and Jimmy Iovine, of influencing Diddy’s behavior. Knight’s claims were supported by Gene Deal, Diddy’s former security guard, who said Diddy learned this behavior from people like Andre Harrell, Simmons, and Davis.
According to Deal, these industry figures were involved in drugs and mistreating women, which may have made Diddy feel he could get away with similar behavior.
Deal stated that he doesn’t use the word “alleged” when talking about these claims because he saw it all firsthand. “It can turn a man into a monster, and that’s what it did,” Deal said.
Diddy is currently in jail awaiting trial after being denied bail twice. He was arrested in New York City last week and had returned to his hometown to cooperate with authorities. Despite the arrest, Diddy and his legal team insist he is innocent.
His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment in the decision to prosecute Diddy, describing him as a music icon, loving father, and philanthropist. Agnifilo urged people to withhold judgment until all the facts are out, insisting Diddy has nothing to hide and looks forward to clearing his name in court.
