Nicki Minaj has escalated her public dispute with JAY-Z, claiming the hip-hop mogul owes her up to $200 million related to her equity in the music streaming service Tidal.
Minaj, who was among 15 artists awarded a three percent stake in Tidal at its launch in 2015, alleges she was offered only $1 million for her share after Tidal was sold to Jack Dorsey’s Square for $302 million in 2021.
“We’ve calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It’s only collecting more interest,” Nicki Minaj wrote on X (formerly Twitter), adding, “You still in my TOP 5 tho.”
Minaj also said she would use any proceeds from the dispute to support her #StudentOfTheGame initiative, which aims to pay tuition and student loans for her fans.

In a series of recent posts, Minaj further criticized Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez, sharing unverified claims about Perez’s personal life. She also reignited rumours surrounding JAY-Z’s alleged paternity case involving Raymir Satterthwaite, referencing reports that a judge approved a continuation of a request for a paternity test. JAY-Z has not publicly addressed the paternity case.

The rapper also took aim at Megan Thee Stallion, shortly after a federal judge ruled that a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit against the Houston rapper by a former cameraman could proceed to trial. Minaj’s pointed social media posts appeared to reference Megan’s 2024 track “Hiss,” which alludes to Minaj’s husband’s legal history.
Minaj’s online remarks come as Roc Nation and its roster face growing scrutiny. As of now, JAY-Z, Perez, Megan Thee Stallion, and Roc Nation have not publicly responded to Minaj’s claims.
