One of these old clips, from 2011, shows Taylor Swift on The Rachael Ray Show. During a quickfire game, Swift, then 21, was asked to choose celebrities she’d take to prom. Her picks included Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, and Sheryl Crow.

“It would be a group, and it would be a really fun group,” Swift said. Rachael Ray laughed, joking, “Boy, you’re going on a freaky prom date.” Swift replied, “Diddy’s really always been very nice to me.” Ray agreed, calling Diddy a “lovely gentleman.”

As news of Diddy’s charges spreads, this friendly moment is being shared again, but some viewers now see it differently.

The situation is serious: on September 16, Diddy was arrested in New York City, facing charges like racketeering, sex trafficking, and using his businesses to fund events where he allegedly drugged people and forced them into bad situations. He’s being held in a detention center in Brooklyn after being denied bail.

Another old clip from 2017 on Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party has also resurfaced. On the show, Diddy was asked what he’d want his last words to be, and he quickly answered, “I did it.” The response was taken as a joke then, but now it seems more unsettling given his current situation.

As more clips from Diddy’s past make the rounds online, they’re sparking new debates about his legacy and behavior, with his career now clouded by serious accusations.

This marked the end of Kanye’s impressive streak, where nearly every album he released debuted at the top of the U.S. charts—except for College Dropout and Kids See Ghosts. But not this time.

Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, has held the No. 1 spot for the past 14 weeks. In a move that seemed to intensify her long-running feud with Kanye, Swift released a live mashup of her track “thanK you aIMee,” cleverly stylized to spell out “YE” with capital letters.

This added another layer to their decade-old rivalry. Interestingly, the original version of the song was rumored to reference Kanye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, with the capital letters spelling “KIM.”

Although Swift has never publicly confirmed these connections, the timing seems too coincidental to ignore. The history between Swift and Kanye is well-known, dating back to the infamous moment at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when Kanye interrupted Swift during her acceptance speech to proclaim, “Taylor, I’m real happy for you, I’m gonna let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!”

With her latest chart victory, Swift seems to have added another chapter to this ongoing saga between the two music icons.

The 34-year-old pop star became the focus of the ongoing battle after Drake dedicated an entire track to Swift, using her name in the title as a jab at Lamar.

Swift’s connection to Lamar began over a decade ago, when she expressed admiration for his music and proved her fandom by singing his song “Backseat Freestyle” on social media.

In 2015, Lamar collaborated with Swift on a remix of her song “Bad Blood,” marking his first foray into commercial pop music.

Drake’s recent dispute with Lamar started last month after Lamar teamed up with Future and A$AP Rocky to release diss tracks against Drake.

In response, Drake released his diss track, “Push Ups,” on April 13, targeting Lamar and praising Swift as “the biggest gangster.”

Following “Push Ups,” Drake released another song, “Taylor Made Freestyle,” in which he praised Swift’s influence in the music industry and her ability to impact his album release schedule.

But on the new song, it’s all praise for the ERAS Tour star. Drake raps: “But now we gotta wait a week ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top / And if you ’bout to drop, she gotta approve / This girl really ’bout to make you act like you not in a feud / She tailor-made your schedule…

“Yeah, shout out to Taylor Swift, biggest gangster in the music game right now / You know, I moved my album when she dropped, I said that already / You know, she ’bout to milli’ run through a Milly Rock on your head top / She got the whole pgLang (Kendrick’s company) on mute like that Beyoncé challenge / Y’all boys quiet for the weekend.”

Meanwhile, Swift has also released a new song, “Thank you aIMee,” which is rumored to be a diss track aimed at Kim Kardashian, who has lost over 100,000 followers since the song’s release on Friday.

The unexpected involvement of Swift in this high-profile rap feud adds an intriguing twist to the ongoing battle between Lamar and Drake.
