Kid Cudi’s personal collection of jewelry, fashion, and memorabilia fetched over $850,000 in a recent online auction hosted by Pharrell Williams’ Joopiter platform, according to HipHopDX.

Titled “On Another Planet: The Collection of Kid Cudi,” the auction ran from March 13 to March 25, featuring 75 curated items from the rapper’s personal archive. In total, the sale brought in $857,439, with several standout items attracting major attention from collectors and fans alike.

The highest bid went to a custom 14-karat gold N.E.R.D. pendant by Jacob & Co, which sold for $243,750. Another major item, a rare Ben Baller x Takashi Murakami x Kid Cudi chain, sold for $187,500, slightly below its guide price of $200,000.

Additional big-ticket sales included a pair of Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low sneakers designed by the late Virgil Abloh, which sold for $82,500, and a Ben Baller-designed gold chain featuring a likeness of Cudi crafted in 18-karat gold with diamonds, sapphires, and rubies, which sold for $43,750.

Why Kid Cudi Opened Up His Vault

Speaking to GQ, Kid Cudi explained that Joopiter had long expressed interest in working with him.

“Joopiter has been wanting to do something with me for a while, so I recently reached out to the team and let them know I had some stuff I was willing to part with—things I’ve collected throughout my career,” he said.

The items reflected moments from his journey as an artist, with fans eager to own a piece of Cudi’s creative legacy.

In a separate interview with Hube, Cudi shared that he’s recently completed a project that marks a turning point in his creative process.

“When I first started making this album, I didn’t know if I could sing at the level I needed to,” he said. “But working closely with writers and producers—building songs from the ground up—it did something for me as an artist.”

Cudi described the experience as deeply fulfilling and different from how he created past albums, where he often worked over pre-made beats.

“There’s something about being in the room and creating something from scratch—from a simple hum—it’s so fulfilling,” he added.

With the success of the auction and a new album on the horizon, Kid Cudi continues to evolve as both a creator and cultural icon.
