Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new legal trouble as a Florida man has filed a federal lawsuit accusing him of human trafficking, sexual assault, and abuse at a party in 2015.
The plaintiff, identified as Joseph Manzaro, alleges that Combs drugged and humiliated him during a private party held on Star Island in Miami. According to the lawsuit, the incident occurred during a birthday celebration for Combs’ son, Christian Combs.
Manzaro claims he was forcibly taken to the party and later paraded around in a degrading manner during one of Combs’ so-called “freak-offs”—a term described in court documents as an event involving Diddy, a male sex worker, and a woman. The lawsuit alleges that Diddy strapped a sex toy to Manzaro’s face and forced him to walk around in front of high-profile guests.
Among the celebrities named in the lawsuit as witnesses to the alleged incident are JAY-Z, Beyoncé, LeBron James, and Gloria Estefan. None of these individuals are accused of wrongdoing or named as defendants in the case.
The lawsuit claims that Manzaro was initially seen in a “drug-induced stupor” near the back entrance of Emilio and Gloria Estefan’s home, where Gloria allegedly attempted to call for help but was stopped by Emilio.
Manzaro further alleges that he was later led through a secret tunnel in Combs’ home by another alleged victim, Adria English, where he encountered Beyoncé and JAY-Z.
According to the complaint, Combs and members of his entourage subjected Manzaro to “non-consensual and degrading acts” throughout the night. Celebrity jeweler Jacob Arabo is also mentioned in the lawsuit, with Manzaro claiming that Arabo appeared visibly disturbed upon seeing him.
However, court records note that JAY-Z was in New York City on the date of the alleged incident, attending a TIDAL event. Neither JAY-Z, Beyoncé, LeBron James, Gloria Estefan, nor Jacob Arabo are being sued.
The lawsuit names Combs, Emilio Estefan, Adria English, Combs’ alleged associate Brendan Paul, and others as defendants.
In response to the lawsuit, Combs’ legal team dismissed the claims. In a statement to TMZ, they said: “This complaint demonstrates the depraved lengths plaintiffs will travel to garner headlines in pursuit of a payday. No sane person reading this complaint could credit this story. Mr. Combs looks forward to having his day in court where these lies — and the perverse motives of those who told them — will be revealed.”
The case adds to growing legal troubles facing Combs, who has been hit with multiple lawsuits in recent months.
