The Doggystyle rapper took to Instagram with his live reaction of K. Dot’s performance. “Go ‘head, Dot!,” Snoop yelled at the television during the early moments of the performance.
“They comin’ out deep, red and blue. West Coast is the s**t, you hear me,” he quipped. When Kendrick declared, “The revolution boutta be televised. You picked the right time, but the wrong guy,” Snoop cackled affirmingly
Snoop’s Reaction: “That Was Gangsta!”
As Kendrick Lamar took the stage, Snoop cheered him on from the start. “Go ‘head, Dot!” he shouted at the television, hyping up the performance. Watching Kendrick’s dramatic entrance with dancers in red and blue, he added, “They comin’ out deep, red and blue. West Coast is the s**t, you hear me.”
The energy only built as the show progressed. When Lamar declared, “The revolution boutta be televised. You picked the right time, but the wrong guy,” Snoop cackled in approval.
Rapping along to the set, the Doggystyle rapper hyped up the Compton MC. “Get ’em, nephew!” he encouraged, particularly impressed by Lamar’s use of a makeshift American flag as a symbol of resistance.
“That was gangsta! Get ’em, Dot,” Snoop exclaimed before ranking Lamar’s set among the best in Super Bowl history. “He top three Super Bowl all-performers right now. He may be No. 1. If he do that record, he number one.”
“He’s the G.O.A.T. – Hands Down”
Midway through the 13-minute set, Snoop made his verdict clear. “[He’s] the G.O.A.T., hands down,” he said. “Leave him the f**k alone […] He’s too cold.”
Snoop’s admiration comes three years after he and Lamar both performed in Dr. Dre’s legendary Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show alongside Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent.
Snoop’s praise also follows Kendrick Lamar’s recent diss toward him on GNX for allegedly siding with Drake in their ongoing rap feud. However, Snoop quickly clarified that he remains on Kendrick’s side, blaming the confusion on a momentary lapse caused by edibles.
Regardless of past tensions, Snoop’s reaction to Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance made one thing clear—Kendrick delivered a historic show that left even his biggest peers in awe.
