Authorities have disclosed the items seized from hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs at the time of his September 16, 2024 arrest in New York City, shedding further light on the ongoing federal investigation into allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering.

Combs was arrested while checking into the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan. According to court testimony and evidence presented by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), agents uncovered a series of suspicious items in his possession that have now become central to the high-profile case.

What Authorities Found

During the hotel raid, federal agents reportedly found:

  • Two Ziploc bags inside an orange prescription bottle, each containing smaller baggies with a pink solid substance. Lab tests later confirmed one bag contained ketamine, while the other tested positive for a mix of MDMA and ketamine.
  • A fanny pack containing $9,000 in cash
  • Bottles of Astroglide lubricant and Johnson’s baby oil
  • A prescription for clonazepam, a controlled substance used to treat seizures and anxiety, issued under the alias “Frank Black”—a name that former partner Cassie Ventura testified Combs used.

DHS agent Yasin Binda, who provided testimony on the items, also noted that authorities seized a hard drive and a “lighting device” used to create mood lighting in the hotel suite.

The revelations came amid explosive courtroom testimony from several witnesses, including Cassie Ventura, former Bad Boy Records artist Dawn Richard, and Cassie’s mother, Regina Ventura. Over the past week, Cassie gave detailed and emotional testimony describing years of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse at the hands of Combs.

She further alleged that Diddy orchestrated drug-fueled group sex acts, which she referred to as “Freak Offs.” Cassie’s mother echoed concerns about Combs’ behavior, testifying on May 20 that he had made direct threats against both her and her daughter.

Diddy remains in custody and is appearing in court daily as the federal trial unfolds.

The prosecution has indicated that more of Combs’ accusers and former associates will take the stand in the coming days, as the government seeks to establish a pattern of coercion, abuse, and criminal enterprise.

The case has drawn national attention, with legal analysts calling it one of the most significant celebrity criminal trials in recent memory. If convicted on all counts, Combs faces the possibility of multiple life sentences.
