Rapper and entrepreneur Wiz Khalifa has never shied away from his love of cannabis, but during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Pittsburgh native confirmed just how committed he is to the lifestyle, revealing that he smokes 30 joints a day.
The revelation came on the June 13 episode when host Jimmy Kimmel brought up the longstanding rumor. “Is it true that you smoke 30 joints a day?” Kimmel asked. Without hesitation, Khalifa replied, “Yeah, that’s not bad at all.”
Kimmel noted that the number breaks down to nearly two joints per hour over a 24-hour period, a statistic that Khalifa seemed to take in stride.
While the figure may be eye-popping, the rapper explained that smoking is only one part of his daily routine. “I have things to do,” he said with a laugh. “I work out, I’ve got kids. So I do a lot of different things.”
Wiz Khalifa likened the experience to a kind of cognitive exercise. “Somebody put it a really good way the other day,” he said. “They said it’s like a mental exercise, you smoke, and then challenge yourself to do normal things throughout the day.”
The Kush & Orange Juice artist also reflected on his early experiences with cannabis, saying his relationship with it began in his teens, mostly within creative spaces. “It was just for music purposes, like being in the studio and hanging around other musicians,” he explained. “It was just the thing to do… Later on in life, it helped me get through a lot of things.”
Though the conversation largely centered on Khalifa’s well-known marijuana use, a theme that has long been associated with his brand, Kimmel also touched on the rapper’s offhand belief that the Earth might be flat. Khalifa’s vague response left viewers unclear whether he truly subscribed to the idea or was simply playing along with the host.
Khalifa appeared on the show to promote his new album, Kush + Orange Juice 2, a sequel to the 2010 cult favorite that helped solidify his presence in hip-hop. He’s also gearing up for his upcoming Good Vibes Only Tour, which will feature performances alongside DaBaby and Sean Paul.
