Diddy’s post-prison life will come with strict rules, court filing shows

Sean “Diddy” Combs will face five years of supervised release after completing his 50-month federal sentence, under conditions that sharply limit his movements and contacts, according to a court filing this week.

He will be barred from contacting victims, must submit to searches, and will be required to take part in outpatient treatment for substance use and mental health, with drug testing at set intervals. He is also mandated to complete a domestic-violence program and may not possess firearms.

Probation officers will be allowed to search Combs’ person, property, and electronic devices on “reasonable suspicion” of a violation or new crime. He can be ordered to provide financial records, and he may not encourage anyone to contact victims on his behalf or associate with people engaged in criminal activity, the filing says. Forbes

Diddy was sentenced to four years and two months this month after his conviction on two counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution; he was acquitted on more serious charges.

The judge also recommended he be considered for the Bureau of Prisons’ Residential Drug Abuse Program, which can shorten time behind bars for eligible inmates. Placement, however, rests with the BOP. His lawyers have asked that he serve time near New York—specifically at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, which offers the program.

The supervised-release conditions underscore how closely Diddy will be monitored once he leaves prison—restricting his communications, travel, and digital privacy while requiring treatment and compliance meetings long after his sentence ends
