Diddy Wins Lawsuit Filed by Colorado Inmate

A Colorado inmate, Alfredo P. Gonzalez, filed a lawsuit against entertainment mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of attempting to involve him in the sex trafficking of underage children.

When Gonzalez allegedly refused, he claims Diddy defamed him, leading to harm to his drug business. However, the lawsuit was swiftly dismissed by the court.

Gonzalez, who says he is a member of the notorious Sinaloa drug cartel, filed the suit in the Southern District of New York, seeking $666,000 in damages. According to reports from News Nation, Gonzalez alleged that his reputation within New York’s criminal underworld was destroyed due to Diddy and his associates.

He claimed that after refusing to assist in sex trafficking, he was told his life would be made difficult because of Diddy’s supposed influence “in the streets.” Gonzalez also claimed that he lost business with New York-based drug contacts as a result.

Chief U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain dismissed the lawsuit on August 12, calling it frivolous and lacking legal standing. In her decision, Judge Swain wrote, “Plaintiff, without any legal basis, appears to assert claims of defamation against the defendants, seeking damages arising from injury incurred to his illegal drug smuggling and sales business caused by the defendant’s alleged defamation…

Since there are no apparent legal bases for any of these claims, the court additionally dismisses plaintiff’s claims as frivolous.”

Gonzalez is currently serving time at the Centennial Correctional Facility in Canon City, Colorado. This case is just one of several legal battles involving Diddy, following allegations of sexual abuse and trafficking, among other accusations, after his former girlfriend, recording artist Cassie, filed a lawsuit against him in November 2023. That lawsuit was settled within 24 hours.
