Ahkeema Love, the mother of NBA star Zion Williamson’s child, has been arrested on charges of home invasion, aggravated battery, and stalking, according to NBC News. The incident reportedly involved an attack on a woman who is said to be romantically linked to the New Orleans Pelicans player.
The confrontation escalated after a series of provocations that began last month. Police reports detail that on March 17, Love allegedly egged the home of the victim. Subsequently, she sent threatening messages via Instagram, warning the woman of imminent physical harm after the birth of her child.
Love’s social media activity around the same time included posts celebrating her birthday and the expected arrival of a new child, though it remains unconfirmed if Williamson is the father of this child.
The actual attack occurred on April 6, when Love allegedly used keys to the woman’s home to gain entry and then physically assaulted her. The victim reportedly suffered multiple injuries during the incident, including lacerations above the eyes, a facial lump, scratches on her arms and face, and the loss of four fingernails.
Love was apprehended at a residence registered in Williamson’s name and faced a bond hearing on April 8. She was subsequently released from police custody under an order of protection issued against her.
This incident has sparked conversations about the personal lives of public figures and the pressures they face. As the legal proceedings continue, further details are expected to emerge.
