The 2025 Golden Globes kicked off awards season in a dazzling display of glamour and excitement. Held in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 5, at the Beverly Hilton, the event featured surprise announcements and celebrated first-time winners.

One of the evening’s highlights was Zendaya’s debut of her engagement ring, subtly revealing that Tom Holland had proposed over the holidays. In addition to her new accessory, other stars, including Quinta Brunson, Coleman Domingo, Tyler James Williams, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, captivated the red carpet with their stunning looks.

The biggest winner in film was the musical “Emilia Pérez,” which took home awards for Best Musical or Comedy and Best Original Song. Zoe Saldaña secured her first Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in Any Motion Picture for her role in the film. The thriller “Conclave” won Best Screenplay.

On the television side, “Shōgun” and “Hacks” dominated the awards. “Wicked,” a top contender for the Oscars, won for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. Unfortunately, Jamie Foxx’s powerful one-man show, “What Had Happened Was,” lost to Ali Wong’s comedy special. “The Challengers” score won Best Original Score – Motion Picture, while A24’s “The Brutalist” clinched Best Motion Picture – Drama.
