D4vd Reportedly Named Suspect in Death of 15-Year-Old Celeste Rivas

More than two months after the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was discovered in a Tesla registered to him, singer D4vd has been identified as a suspect in the case, according to a Los Angeles Police Department source cited by NBC4.

The unnamed source reportedly said the artist, born David Anthony Burke, has not been cooperative with investigators and suggested he may have received help in disposing of the teen’s body, which authorities believe likely remained in the vehicle since the spring.

An LAPD spokesperson declined to confirm those claims, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. No arrests have been made, and D4vd has not been charged with any crime.

Rivas’ body was found on Sept. 8 inside the Tesla at a Hollywood impound yard after officers were called to inspect the vehicle due to a “foul odor.” She was later identified as the 15-year-old who had been reported missing on April 5, 2024, from Lake Elsinore, California.

The Tesla had previously been parked near a Hollywood Hills residence where D4vd had been staying before the launch of his Withered World Tour, which has since been canceled. Detectives later executed a search warrant at the Sunset Boulevard property in late September, seizing electronics and computer equipment as part of their inquiry.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, after the case was opened in September, D4vd transferred ownership of two homes in Houston, Texas, to his mother. He has not publicly commented on the investigation.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office released Rivas’ body to her family on Sept. 23, but has not yet publicly disclosed the cause or manner of death. The investigation remains active.
