Beyoncé Invests $250K in Beauty Education Through Cécred and BeyGOOD Initiative

Global music and cultural icon Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is expanding her philanthropic efforts with a $250,000 investment in beauty education through the Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund. The initiative is now in its third year. It focuses on long-term education and career paths for future hair professionals in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

The fund was launched by Beyoncé’s professional haircare brand Cécred, which was founded in 2024, and her nonprofit BeyGOOD Foundation. The 2026 edition of the fund will give $25,000 grants to 10 cosmetology and barbering schools across the U.S. and U.K. This directly supports tuition and training resources that prepare students for careers in beauty and personal care.

“As a licensed cosmetologist and former salon owner, I’ll never forget my own beginnings at Franklin School and the pure passion it takes to succeed in this craft,” said Tina Knowles, vice chairwoman of Cécred and chair of the Board of Directors at BeyGOOD, according to reports. Her words highlight both the personal and professional importance of the initiative. “By expanding our grants from five to ten schools this year, we are providing vital financial support so these talented students can focus on their training and pursue their passions.”

Since its start in 2024, the Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund has contributed $1 million in scholarships and salon business grants, enabling education and entrepreneurship for 133 cosmetology students and industry professionals.

Rising tuition and equipment costs often create barriers to entry, particularly for historically underrepresented communities. By investing in accredited institutions with clear outcomes, like graduation, licensure, and job placement metrics, the program aims to ease financial pressure. It also aims to strengthen the talent pipeline for one of the beauty industry’s fastest-growing segments.

Beyoncé’s latest initiative shows how celebrity-driven programs can combine cultural influence with real economic impact, setting a new standard for socially responsible investment in creative fields.
