Cardi B has once again filed for divorce from Offset amid ongoing rumors of his infidelity, despite his denials. The filing was confirmed by a representative for the “Be Careful” singer on Wednesday, July 31, as reported by PageSix.
The source close to Cardi B disclosed that she intends to seek primary custody of their two children, daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 2. It was suggested that the latest allegations of Offset’s involvement with an ex-girlfriend were pivotal in her decision. “They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” the source explained.
Recent accusations against Offset surfaced after a blurry video appeared online, allegedly showing the former Migos rapper with an ex, known publicly as Big PrettyRedz. In response to the rumors,
Offset, 32, clarified in a social media comment, “People really need to do the research…I’m at a public place gambling at a casino with a married 8 month Pregnant woman, wtf I look like being outside publicly cheating SMD!!!” He later noted that the woman in the video was not Cardi B, but another individual who is married and pregnant, and had recently lost her husband.
Big PrettyRedz also addressed the situation, emphasizing her desire for peace during her pregnancy. “It’s completely crazy that I even have to do this! PLEASE! If not for me…PLEASE RESPECT MY LATE HUSBAND!” she stated on Instagram.
This is not the first time Cardi B and Offset’s marriage has faced public scrutiny. The couple, who first announced a separation in 2018, one year after getting married, briefly split in September 2020 before reconciling.
In December 2023, Cardi B announced another separation, expressing frustration in a public rant, though the couple appeared to reconcile shortly afterward during a New Year’s Eve celebration in Miami.
