Eminem and GloRilla Announced as Performers for 2024 MTV Video Music Awards

Eminem and GloRilla are set to perform at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), joining a lineup of top musical talent for the star-studded event. The Detroit rapper will kick off the night with a live performance, marking his first time opening the show in over a decade.

The 2024 MTV VMAs will feature a variety of performances from artists across genres, including LL Cool J, Anitta with Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, Lenny Kravitz, and Megan Thee Stallion, who will also serve as host for the first time.

Eminem is not only the opening performer but also a top contender for the night, with eight nominations, including “Video of the Year,” “Best Hip-Hop,” “Song of the Summer,” and “VMAs Most Iconic Performance.”

Currently tied with Peter Gabriel for the most MTV VMA wins by a solo male artist at 13, a win in any of these categories would break that record, making him the most decorated solo male artist in VMA history. Only Madonna, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé have more VMA wins.

The 2024 MTV VMAs will air live on Wednesday, September 11, at 8 p.m. ET/PT from New York’s UBS Arena.
