Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for their new Formula 1 film, “F1,” featuring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. This Apple Original Films project, distributed by Warner Bros., also stars Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo.
In the film, Pitt plays a former driver who returns to Formula 1, teaming up with Damson Idris character at APXGP, a fictional team. The film is unique in that it is being shot during actual Grand Prix weekends, capturing real racing action.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for “Top Gun: Maverick,” the film is produced by Kosinski along with Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman of Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner for Plan B Entertainment, and Lewis Hamilton under his Dawn Apollo Films banner. Penni Thow also serves as an executive producer.
The project is a collaboration with Formula 1, involving all 10 F1 teams, their drivers, the FIA, and race promoters.
