Rapper 50 Cent Declines $3 Million Offer to Appear with Donald Trump at New York Rally

Rapper and businessman Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson recently disclosed that he turned down a $3 million offer to appear alongside former President Donald Trump at a rally in New York, highlighting his desire to steer clear of political controversies.

Speaking on The Breakfast Club, the artist shared details of the opportunity, explaining his hesitations despite previously expressing a mix of admiration and skepticism toward Trump.

Jackson recounted, “I got a call,” confirming he was also offered a performance spot at this year’s Republican National Convention, where he was asked to perform his hit track Many Men (Wish Death) for a comparable fee.

The 2003 song, written after a 2000 shooting incident that nearly took his life, has unexpectedly become an anthem among some Trump supporters.

Following an attempted assassination on Trump in July, Many Men surged into the top charts on streaming platforms, even leading Jackson to share a tongue-in-cheek album cover on social media featuring Trump’s face.

Despite the lucrative offer, 50 Cent ultimately declined. “I didn’t even go far… I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics,” he explained, pointing out the divisive nature of political involvement. “When you get involved, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”

Recently, Jackson reflected on Trump’s appeal, drawing a connection between Trump’s call to “fight” and his own experience of resilience. “He says ‘fight’,” Jackson said. “That’s exactly what I did after I got shot.

I just went into fight mode. People identify with it that way.” However, he has stopped short of any endorsement, recently posting on social media, “I think Trump’s gonna be president again, but I’m not going to say that.”

Jackson is also occupied with other projects, including a Netflix docuseries that will explore abuse allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Speaking about the series, Jackson emphasized his aim to “give a voice to the voiceless and present authentic and nuanced perspectives.”

Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden also saw appearances from other celebrities, including Hulk Hogan and Dr. Phil, but sparked controversy when comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made inflammatory remarks, describing Puerto Rico as “a floating island of garbage.”

The incident drew backlash, with celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, and Bad Bunny voicing support for Kamala Harris’s historic bid for the White House.
