Singer-songwriter SZA has taken on a new role as Artistic Director with footwear brand Vans, marking another milestone in her expanding career.
Under the agreement, the Grammy-winning artist will collaborate with Vans on upcoming campaigns and design exclusive product collections. The partnership will center on one of her favorite silhouettes, blending the brand’s youthful energy with her own vision of creativity and authenticity.
“I’ve been wearing Knu Skools and other styles for years; they’ve always had an ethos I connect with,” SZA said in a statement. “As Artistic Director, my mission is to show that joy, community, creativity, and fashion are all still intersectional. That humanity, culture, and connection are still the access points.”
For SZA, the collaboration is as much about expression as it is about style. “In Vans, I feel free,” she added. “I’ve learned that bravery and curiosity are the cures for uncertainty. It’s a lifestyle, and Vans champions that spirit.”
The appointment comes on the heels of a busy year for the artist. Fresh off her Super Bowl LIX performance alongside Kendrick Lamar, SZA embarked on the Grand National Tour with Lamar in April 2025. The stadium tour spanned North America and Europe, bringing their joint energy to arenas from Minneapolis to Stockholm.
With her new role at Vans, SZA is adding another dimension to her already dynamic portfolio, bridging music, fashion, and culture in ways that continue to resonate with global audiences.
