Cardi B Withdraws from ONE MusicFest Due to Medical Emergency

This weekend’s ONE MusicFest, set for October 26-27, will proceed with an impressive lineup of artists—but one key performer will be notably absent. Bronx-born rapper and entertainer Cardi B has announced her withdrawal from the festival, citing a “medical emergency” as the cause.

The chart-topping artist shared the news on social media, expressing her disappointment over missing the event. “I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days,” she wrote.

“It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend, and I really wish I could be there. Bardi Gang, thank you for understanding, and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t worry. Love y’all.” Cardi B did not disclose the specific nature of her medical issue or confirm if she is still hospitalized.

ONE MusicFest organizers responded to the news by issuing a statement to fans, acknowledging the loss of one of their headline acts and extending well-wishes to Cardi B for her recovery.

“Hey #OMFFam! Unfortunately, @iamcardib announced that she is no longer available to join us this year due to ongoing health issues. Let’s all keep her in our prayers for a full recovery! We are working hard to find a replacement at this late date. More to come soon.”

Originally slated for Piedmont Park, the festival recently shifted venues back to Central Park, where it was previously held in 2022. Despite the unexpected changes, the event promises a dynamic roster of performers.

Kicking off on October 26, audiences can expect music legends like Earth, Wind & Fire, Fantasia, and hip-hop duo Method Man & Redman. Atlanta’s own DJ Greg Street will feature popular local artists such as Young Dro, Crime Mob, Travis Porter, and Trillville.

On October 27, festival-goers will enjoy the talents of Grammy-winning singer Jill Scott, R&B star Keyshia Cole, and rap artists Gunna, Glorilla, and Sexyy Red. DJ Drama and DJ Mars will also bring special guests to the stage, including T.I., Keri Hilson, and Lloyd, promising an unforgettable weekend for Atlanta’s music fans.

The search for a replacement act is ongoing as ONE MusicFest organizers work to fill the unexpected gap in this weekend’s lineup.
