Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is expanding his business footprint beyond music and television with a confirmed $124 million investment in an entertainment project in Shreveport, Louisiana. Prior to this, 50 Cent had a $50 million investment project in Shreveport that was officially approved by the city council in September 2025.

This additional $124 million investment, which followed, built on the earlier pledge. It marks one of the most significant commitments in the city’s recent history.

The Louisiana Economic Development office recognized the initiative as part of its efforts to draw private finance into creative sectors.

It mentioned that the $124 million investment will be used to strengthen its entertainment and film economy, such as renovating the former Stageworks facility to accommodate a wide range of live events and entertainment productions. Also upgrading the former Millennium Studios campus to strengthen its production capacity, and building a dome-style immersive venue alongside a landscaped green park.

The project builds on earlier agreements that brought G-Unit Film & Television to Shreveport. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jackson said his goal is to establish a long-term production hub in the city, rather than execute a one-off development.

“By reinvesting in downtown Shreveport and upgrading existing assets to create state-of-the-art entertainment and production facilities, we are creating jobs, inspiring hope, attracting new productions, and giving the entire entertainment industry a reason to build their futures right here,” says 50 Cent. “My goal is to turn Northwest Louisiana into the premier destination for film, music, and live entertainment on a national scale. All Roads Lead to Shreveport.”

Jackson sees the Shreveport project as an extension of his transition from international music icon to media mogul. He has established a reputation for strategically partnering with major networks and platforms. This includes producing commercial scripted content through G-Unit Film & Television.

Louisiana Economic Development (LED) and G-Unit will collaborate to support the project with $50 million in performance-based funding. For accountability, LED will be overseen by the Shreveport Film & Entertainment Economic Development Corporation.

The Shreveport investment marks a shift from content development to ownership of the production environment. A paradigm that media executives who want more control over expenses and scheduling are increasingly favoring.

In general, the 50 Cent Shreveport entertainment project was welcomed by local leaders. They emphasised the project’s potential to establish the city as a recurrent location for film and television production in the southern United States.
