Angel Reese Pays Tribute to Baltimore With New Reebok Sneaker Release

Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese continues to make WNBA history, setting new records even as her team faces challenges on the court. In a recent matchup against the Minnesota Lynx, Reese became the fastest player ever to record 650 career rebounds, achieving the milestone in just 51 games.

This breaks the previous record held by Connecticut Sun center Tina Charles, who reached the mark in 58 games back in 2011.

Reese’s dominance doesn’t stop there. According to Anthlon Sports, she also surpassed 650 career points in the same 51-game span, making her the fastest WNBA player to reach both 650 points and 650 rebounds. This double milestone breaks yet another record previously set by Charles.

The 22-year-old forward’s statistical prowess has been especially apparent over the past five games, during which she’s collected between 16 and 19 rebounds each outing.

Most recently, Angel Reese recorded 16 points and 17 rebounds against the Lynx, making her the first player in WNBA history to secure at least 15 rebounds in five consecutive games, a feat highlighted by both Sports Illustrated and Bleacher Report.

For the season, Angel Reese is averaging 12.4 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. Over her recent five-game stretch, she’s elevated those numbers to 17 points, 17.4 rebounds, and five assists per contest. Notably, Reese stands alone as the league’s only player averaging double-digit rebounds; Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson is second with 9.6 rebounds per game.

Reese’s remarkable year has also earned her a second consecutive selection to the WNBA All-Star Game, which will be held July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The game will be broadcast live on ABC at 7:30 p.m. CT.
