Roc Nation Distribution Unveils New Dashboard to Supercharge Independent Artists

Roc Nation Distribution has unveiled a new data-driven dashboard aimed at helping independent artists grow their global footprint while keeping control of their music and earnings.
Announced on Nov. 17, the platform functions as a central hub where artists can monitor fan engagement, dig into performance metrics, and distribute their music to more than 200 streaming and digital platforms. Through a personalized interface, users gain access to advanced streaming analytics, real-time audience and social media insights, and tools designed to help them refine release strategies and reach new listeners.
The service is free to use, with artists retaining ownership of their masters and 85% of their royalties. Roc Nation Distribution says its proprietary technology is built to put more power in the hands of creators by combining transparency, control, and ease of use.

“The introduction of this new dashboard will be a game-changer for independent artists releasing music with Roc Nation Distribution,” said company president Krystian Santini. “It’s a one-stop shop that will enable artists to receive a holistic understanding of their followers… This dashboard is democratizing access to tools and information historically reserved for the very few established label superstars.”
Beyond analytics, the dashboard offers streamlined royalty payments, publishing administration, rights management, and motion artwork uploads for DSPs. Artists can set automated deposits to bank accounts or PayPal, manage revenue splits with collaborators, store contributor information, and save progress on uploads and metadata — features tailored for fast-paced release schedules.
The roll-out has sparked debate online, however, with some independent artists and commentators criticizing the 15% distribution cut. “An 85/15 split to press ‘upload’ is madness,” indie rapper Russ wrote on X, arguing that other services charge modest annual fees and allow artists to keep 100% of their royalties. Another user called the percentage “absolute madness,” warning artists not to “fall for this.”
Still, Roc Nation’s brand power and infrastructure remain a draw. The platform is already being used by Grammy-winning rapper Rapsody, Grammy-nominated duo Clipse, and notable acts including Flau’jae, The LOX, SAINt JHN, Westside Gunn, and funk legend Bootsy Collins — signaling that, despite criticism, many artists see strategic value in aligning with the Roc Nation ecosystem.
