Angel Reese Trademarks Her Own Name, Extends Brand Beyond the Court

Chicago Sky forward and WNBA All-Star Angel Reese has officially trademarked her name, securing another pillar of a fast-growing business portfolio that now stretches well past basketball.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted the registration to Angel Reese LLC on Oct. 28, formalizing her ability to commercialize “Angel Reese” across apparel and other products.

The filing follows Reese’s broader brand playbook, which includes a pending application for “Mebounds,” the viral riff on her record-setting rebounding that she embraced on TikTok—“anything that comes off the board, it’s mine”—with plans to channel the phrase into merchandise if approved.

“Whoever came up with the ‘mebounds’ thing, y’all ate that up … anything that comes off that board, it’s mine. And a brand? That’s six figures right there,” she once said in a TikTok, as reported by WBLS.

Reese’s off-court momentum has been unmistakable in 2025. Her Reebok “Angel Reese 1” signature shoe line has repeatedly sold out since its September rollout, underscoring her appeal to fans who first met the self-styled “Bayou Barbie” at LSU and now know her as a WNBA star in Chicago.

She’s also leaned into fintech and community work through a multi-phase partnership with Cash App—from limited-edition Cash App Card stamp designs and merch discounts to renovating community courts with her foundation—positioning herself as a crossover figure at the intersection of sport, style, and social impact.

With federal protection on her name secured and additional marks in the pipeline, Reese is tightening control over her image while expanding her licensing and endorsement runway—an approach befitting one of the WNBA’s most marketable young stars.
