Cassie Says Diddy Stopped Group Sex Encounter to Chase Down Suge Knight at L.A. Diner

During her second day of testimony on Tuesday (May 13), singer Cassie Ventura detailed an unsettling moment from her relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, claiming he abruptly ended a “freak-off” to confront longtime rival Suge Knight at a Los Angeles diner.

According to reporting by NBC News, Ventura recounted an incident at one of Diddy’s Los Angeles homes, where the two were in the middle of one of what she described as their recurring “freak-offs, a term she has used in court to describe non-consensual group sex scenarios allegedly orchestrated by the Bad Boy founder.

The event reportedly came to a halt when Diddy was informed that Suge Knight was nearby.

“We were having a freak-off in one of his homes in L.A. and he said Suge was at Mel’s Diner, and we packed up and drove down there,” she testified. “I was screaming and crying, ‘Please don’t do anything stupid.’ I didn’t know what they were going to do.”

While Ventura did not elaborate on what occurred at the diner, her testimony adds another layer of volatility to the already explosive trial, painting a picture of a man allegedly consumed by control, violence, and an obsession with power plays, including with one of hip-hop’s most infamous figures.

The animosity between Diddy and Suge Knight dates back to the deadly East Coast vs. West Coast hip-hop rivalry of the 1990s, during which both of their protégés, Tupac Shakur (Death Row Records) and The Notorious B.I.G. (Bad Boy Records)—were murdered in still-unsolved killings.

Knight, who is currently serving a 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter, has made several public statements over the years suggesting he holds damaging information about Diddy. In a September 2024 episode of his Collect Call with Suge Knight podcast, he warned, “Your life is in danger ’cause you know the secrets… They gonna get you if they can.”

Knight also taunted Diddy directly, saying, “When you go to prison, either you’re gonna be standing up pi**ing or squatting… Don’t do your time going by Brother Love. Brother Love is not a good code name.”

Combs is currently on trial for a series of serious federal charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Cassie’s ongoing testimony continues to form a pivotal part of the prosecution’s case, laying bare years of alleged abuse, manipulation, and criminal behavior under the surface of the music mogul’s empire.

The trial continues this week.
