Virginia “Gina” Huynh Supports Diddy’s Bail Request Ahead of Sentencing in Sex Trafficking Case

Virginia “Gina” Huynh, the ex-girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has submitted a letter to the court in support of the music mogul’s request for bail ahead of his October 3 sentencing.

Diddy, who was recently convicted on two counts related to transporting individuals for prostitution, was previously named as “Victim 3” in a high-profile sex trafficking and racketeering case.

Huynh, who had initially been expected to testify against Combs before withdrawing from the case, expressed her support for his release on bail in a letter recently filed by Combs’ defense team.

In the letter, she describes Combs as a changed man—one who has embraced family life and has “not been violent in many years.” She asserts that he is no longer a threat to either her or the community.

Having known Diddy for years, both personally and professionally, Huynh reflected on the complexities of their relationship, acknowledging its ups and downs. However, she emphasized that Combs had shown a willingness to learn from his past mistakes and was committed to making better decisions moving forward.

“By the time our relationship ended, he embodied an energy of love, patience, and gentleness that was markedly different from his past behavior,” Huynh wrote in the letter. “To my knowledge, he has not been violent for many years, and he has been committed to being a father first.”

This letter was included in Combs’ defense filing, which responded to the prosecution’s opposition to his bail request. It also marked the first time Huynh was identified by her real name rather than the label “Victim 3,” which had been used throughout the prosecution’s case.

Initially, Huynh had been slated to testify against Combs, but prosecutors informed the court that they had lost contact with her and her attorney before the trial, leading to concerns about her potential absence.

During the trial, a former assistant to Diddy, George Kaplan, testified about an incident in which he allegedly witnessed Combs throwing apples at Huynh in Miami. Additionally, Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, was a key witness, testifying about his infidelity, including his relationship with Huynh.

In late August, Combs was convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act, which involves the transportation of individuals for prostitution. However, he was acquitted of more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Combs faces up to 10 years in prison for each count.

Ahead of his sentencing, Combs’ legal team has requested that he be released on bail, offering a $50 million bond as part of their argument that he poses no danger to the community and is not a flight risk.
