Harlem Week 2025 Jobs and Career Fair Returns with New Opportunities for Job Seekers

Harlem Week 2025 is bringing back its highly anticipated Jobs and Career Fair on Wednesday, August 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Great Hall in Harlem.

Now in its fourth year, the fair will host over 60 employers from diverse industries, offering job seekers of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds a chance to pursue careers in sectors such as healthcare, finance, construction, hospitality, and social justice.

The event, organized in partnership with The City College of New York, is an expansion of Harlem Week, which celebrates its 51st year in 2025.

Harlem Week has grown from a single-day celebration to a two-week cultural institution, dedicated to empowering the community with a wide range of events, including concerts, educational forums, and career fairs.

“The beauty of this event is the broad range of exhibitors we have, offering something for everyone—from construction and technology to banking, hospitality, and government agencies,” said Michael Flanigan, board member of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce (GHCC).

Introduced in 2022 in response to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the career fair has seen impressive growth. What started with 350 attendees in its inaugural year ballooned to over 5,000 job seekers in 2024. Flanigan explained that the fair not only provides job opportunities but also a chance for personal development, with resume support and workshops available for attendees.

“We’ve had people literally get jobs on the spot,” Flanigan noted, recalling a retail store that hired about 200 people during last year’s event.

The fair also features specialized workshops tailored to the interests of job seekers, such as career paths in technology, public sector jobs, and more.
