A rare basketball card featuring NBA legends Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan is on track to make auction history, with bids expected to soar as high as $6 million.

The one-of-a-kind 2007 Upper Deck dual Logoman card, signed by both Bryant and Jordan and featuring game-used jersey patches from each icon, has become a centerpiece of Heritage Auctions’ Summer Platinum Night Sports sale.

Collectors are already buzzing about the card’s unique provenance. Jordan’s patch hails from his 1997 championship run with the Chicago Bulls, while Bryant’s comes from his Los Angeles Lakers jersey. Both signatures are featured in striking blue ink, making this card the only one co-signed by the two superstars.

Kobe Bryant, who tragically passed away in 2020, signed just 11 dual Logoman cards in his lifetime. Michael Jordan’s signature appears on only eight such cards overall, but this is the only instance both players autographed the same card.

“It’s unquestionably the best of all Logomans due to its status as the only one bearing this pair of autographs documenting a brotherhood of elite-tier legends,” said Chris Ivy, director of sports auctions at Heritage Auctions. “The interest is astronomical.”

As of publication, bidding has already reached $2.9 million. The current record for a basketball card stands at $5.9 million—a Steph Curry-signed Logoman card sold in 2021. This dual-signed collectible is expected to surpass that mark when the auction closes on August 23.

The auction also features other headline-grabbing sports memorabilia. Among them: an 8-by-8-foot hardwood tile from the Chicago Bulls’ United Center court, signed by Jordan with inscriptions such as “Air Jordan,” “5x MVP,” and “HOF 2009.” Bidding for the court piece stands at $155,000 and could climb to $500,000.

Baseball fans can look forward to a 1960 game-worn and signed Mickey Mantle Yankees jersey, anticipated to fetch $4 million, as well as a childhood school photo of Mantle—complete with his earliest known autograph—estimated at $80,000.

Reflecting on the significance of these collectibles, Chris Ivy noted, “Mantle’s rise from the humblest of beginnings in an Oklahoma mining town has always been an essential part of his lore, the embodiment of the American dream. This is a piece that drives that point home.”

With the dual-signed Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan card leading the way, Heritage Auctions’ latest sale is set to capture the attention of collectors and basketball fans around the world.
