Nevis Tourism Authority Appoints Andia Ravariere as New CEO

The Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA) has named Andia Ravariere as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, bringing over a decade of experience in sustainable tourism development and destination marketing across the Caribbean.

Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley, welcomed the appointment, describing Ravariere as the right leader to drive the island’s next phase of growth. “Her proven track record in sustainable tourism and her deep understanding of Caribbean destination marketing make her uniquely qualified to guide Nevis into its next chapter,” he said.

“As we continue to position Nevis as a beacon of barefoot luxury and authentic Caribbean culture, I am confident her leadership will expand our reach, strengthen our community, and deliver a world-class tourism product.”

Ravariere previously spent seven years with the Ministry of Tourism in Anguilla, where she played a key role in the island’s post-pandemic rebound. Most recently, she served as Destination Marketing Manager for the Discover Dominica Authority, where she spearheaded campaigns that boosted arrivals and tapped into niche visitor markets.

Pamela Martin, chairperson of the NTA board, said Ravariere’s background aligns closely with the authority’s goals. “Her experience in guiding destinations through both growth and recovery, along with her passion for community-driven tourism, perfectly aligns with our vision for Nevis,” Martin noted.

“We look forward to building on our momentum and ensuring Nevis continues to stand out as one of the Caribbean’s most unique and sustainable destinations.”

Sustainability has been a hallmark of Ravariere’s career. In 2013, she founded the Colihaut Community Tourism Development group in Dominica, which launched the Colihaut Fish Lime event. The initiative boosted local industries, created opportunities for women entrepreneurs, and left a lasting economic impact on the community.

Speaking on her appointment, Ravariere said she intends to strategically redefine luxury tourism in Nevis through a focus on nature, culture, sustainability, and innovation.

“My vision is to position Nevis at the forefront of Caribbean tourism,” she said. “This means delivering world-class experiences to discerning travelers while empowering our people and safeguarding the island’s heritage.
