50 Cent Clowns Floyd Mayweather Over $100M Lawsuit: “Champ Mad”

Floyd Mayweather Calls Donald Trump ‘The Best President Ever’

If there’s one thing 50 Cent is going to do, it’s troll—especially when Floyd Mayweather Jr. is involved.

The rap mogul and Power creator is back on Instagram doing what he does best: throwing shade. This time, his target is his longtime frenemy Floyd Mayweather, who just filed a massive $100 million federal lawsuit against Business Insider, its parent company Insider Inc., and journalist Daniel Geiger.

According to court documents filed in New York, Mayweather claims the outlet published a “knowingly false and defamatory” article that seriously hurt his real estate business. He alleges that the piece relied on unnamed sources and ignored verified documents that proved his ownership and success in the property space.

“I’ve never sued a media outlet before,” Mayweather said. “But for years, the media has talked bad about me, my family, and everything I’ve built. I’ve had enough.”

His lawyer, Bobby Samini, added: “This isn’t just about setting the record straight. It’s about accountability. The media can’t keep crossing the line and expect no consequences.”

Mayweather also claims the article cost him several business opportunities, including rent-freeze concessions and lease deals at his properties. He believes the damage wasn’t accidental, calling it the result of “racial and political bias.”

But 50 Cent isn’t buying it.

In a now-viral Instagram post, he poked fun at the lawsuit, writing:

“Well that case is going nowhere because you didn’t do the deal champ. He must have named the writer separately to make him have to pay his own legal team. Champ mad.”

Ouch.

This isn’t the first time 50 and Mayweather have traded jabs—far from it. Their love-hate relationship has included everything from public challenges to petty social media digs. But when it comes to legal drama, 50 always finds a way to get his commentary in first (and loudest).

Meanwhile, Insider is standing firm. In a statement, the company said it would “vigorously defend” itself and its reporter, calling the suit a meritless attempt to discredit their work.

So, will Mayweather get his day in court, or will this all fizzle out with another round of Instagram memes and clapbacks?
