Montana Fishburne, Daughter of Laurence Fishburne, Receives 24-Month Probation Following 2022 Arrest

Montana Fishburne, the 32-year-old daughter of renowned actor Laurence Fishburne, has been sentenced to a 24-month probation period following her arrest in 2022.

 The incident, which took place in January 2022, involved an altercation with Broward County law enforcement.

Fishburne was charged with battery against a police officer after she allegedly assaulted an officer. 

The incident occurred after Montana Fishburne called 911, claiming that she was being harassed and threatened by an ex-boyfriend. When the police arrived at the scene, no one was present at the home.

Despite being instructed multiple times to back up, Montana Fishburne allegedly launched a verbal tirade against the officers. 

The situation escalated when Fishburne reportedly struck one of the deputies, causing swelling and redness in the officer’s ear.

Initially, Montana Fishburne pleaded not guilty to the felony charge. However, she later entered a no-contest plea on April 10. 

According to Michael Grieco, Fishburne’s attorney, there is no admission of guilt and no conviction. 

He stated that the case would be sealed and put in the rearview mirror, allowing Fishburne to move on with her life.

Grieco also revealed that Fishburne’s probation term would end upon successful completion of a 13-week anger management program.

In recent years, Fishburne has been active on social media, documenting her journey towards becoming a certified yoga instructor. 

She attributes this path to her mother, Hajna O. Moss, whom she referred to as her “very first teacher & lifelong guru” in a February 5 Instagram post.

Fishburne made headlines at age 18 when she entered the adult film industry. 

At the time, she stated that being in an adult film was not a big deal and something she had always wanted to do. 

She acknowledged not seeking parental approval but emphasized that she never did it to hurt them.

In 2010, she revealed that her father, Laurence Fishburne, was not pleased with her career choice. 

The Matrix actor allegedly told his daughter that he would not speak with her until she turned her life around. Despite this, more recent years have seen the actor embrace his daughter on Instagram.
